Spain looks at the future with an optimistic view, and those who rely on the Spanish potential now, shall assure a great position in a few years.
HISTORY:
Spain is a country with an amazing History. Spain is settled in the southwest of Europe, and has its natural borders with France in the North, and Portugal in the west. It is also the European door to Africa. The capital of Spain is Madrid and the population is approximately 47 million people.
Spain drafted their constitution in 1978. It established a democracy with legislature and regional governments. Some other aspects of the Constitution include equality of all people, and no established death penalty. It also removed Catholicism as the mandated religion and allows religious freedom, although it remains in solid cooperation with the Catholic Church.
Spain continued as part of the European community, joining NATO in 1985, and changing their currency to the Euro in 1999. Spain has seen a large amount of economic growth since the early 1990s. Recent economic downturns have affected many countries and Spain is no exception. With the Euro maintaining its strength, though, and the hope for an economic reversal, the future of Spain still looks very bright.
TODAY:
Spain is a trending country to invest in, because most assets reach prices which decimate the prices from previous years, and there is a domestic de-investing behaviour due to the crisis which allows foreign investors to achieve positions which were out of reach a few years ago. The high expertise of our professionals, the new regulation which makes the dismisal cheaper, and the salaries which keep on decreasing, make Spain an attractive country in Europe to settle business, or de-centralize corporative units.
The main economic indicators in 2011 were:
- GDP (2011): $1.487 trillion (€1.068 trillion); seventh-largest economy in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
